Idaho Falls, ID – TelStar, an information technology, programming, and managed services firm, has moved to a new office in Snake River Landing Idaho Falls.
TelStar has provided IT services to the management and operating contractors for the Department of Energy at the Idaho National Laboratory since 1995, including a current contract with CH2M-WG Idaho, LLC (CWI).
“With our new office, we are better able to interact with and serve our clients,” says Michael Corbit, Vice President/Director of Business Development & Operations. “Also, it helps us accommodate expansions in our business. And, it’s better for our employees, too.”
Many businesses in Idaho have outsourced IT operations to TelStar, including DOE contractors, State of Idaho agencies (including the Governor’s and Attorney General’s offices), hospitals and other healthcare firms, and industrial firms such as J. R. Simplot, Hewlett-Packard, and Western Zirconium. TelStar has an experienced and versatile staff of technicians who provide field and help-desk support.
TelStar is currently updating its proprietary software for managing hazardous materials, known as HazCentre. The update will make the software Web based, which will make it accessible to more users and will include real-time data. Clients include the U.S. Naval Submarine Base in Bangor, WA, the State of Idaho Department of Environmental Quality, and Simplot. The update is expected to be ready in November 2008.
Among other services offered by TelStar are software development, network support, program application and development, and system integration.
TelStar also has an office in Boise. The firm has been providing on-demand IT solutions, primarily in the Pacific Northwest, since 1979.
